Orkney Out There (OOT) will showcase a wide range of creative talent in Orkney, from school pupils to arts organisations and individual practitioners. The event is happening over two days, on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 January at the St Magnus Centre, Kirkwall. Orkney. It is open to the public from 10am-4pm on Saturday. In addition to the main public event, there are discussion sessions, creative workshops, mentoring sessions and mini performances throughout.

The event will show work from a diverse cross-section of creative people including visual artists, designers, craft makers, writers and musicians – both amateur and professional. Arts reps from HIE and HI-Arts are travelling to Orkney for the event, and will be partnered in open discussion sessions by Orkney professional practitioners. The event is hosted by Orkney Islands Council’s Arts Development Service, funded by Children in Scotland through Creative Scotland and supported by HI-Arts and HIE.
